Being a city state of only 693 sq. km., land is limited in Singapore. As a result, intensive use of land in the form of condominiums and government apartment is the norm. The number of landed properties in Singapore is limited and the landed properties command a premium. Thus, the definition of luxury homes in Singapore would be different compared to other countries where land is abundant.

In Singapore, the first level classification of properties are as follows :-

- Private cluster housing (landed housing with common facilities)

Residential Strata Titled
- Private apartments

- Private condominiums

- Mixed developments (condominium with retail or office)

Residential (under HDB, government housing)
- HDB apartments
- HUDC apartments
- Executive condominiums
- Design, Build & Sell Scheme, ie, DBSS

Luxury Homes are residential properties costing at least S$2 Mil, whether landed or strata titled. Because of the land, landed luxury properties tend to be much more expensive compared to the condominiums. For further information, click on either one of the following :-
